SmartBrøndCity
Challenge:
As wastewater companies invest heavily in the planning, design and construction of rainwater harvesting and retention systems, there is an increased focus on making these systems more efficient. Can it be collected from larger areas? Can full reservoirs be redirected to other sections and can the water be used to irrigate the city’s green spaces?
Solution:
SmartBrønd ApS and Aagren Tech, together with the University of Copenhagen, will investigate the possibility of logging water level and flow in real-time to create a picture of the utilization rate of each system.
Impact:
The effect of the project is that it can help utility companies to reduce flooding and ensure better data and knowledge about the efficiency of plants, so that unnecessary material purchases are reduced.
