ProCirc
ProCirc was an EU project in the North Sea region that aimed to investigate and implement circular procurement. The project’s goal was 30 pilot projects that will demonstrate different opportunities in circular procurement.
Organizations can promote circular economy through their demand to the market. This will not only have an impact on suppliers’ business models, innovation and economic opportunities, but also contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions and less waste of resources.
Each pilot project in ProCirc aimed to reduce 20-25% raw material waste and CO2 emissions. The construction industry, furniture, and information technology (ICT) were focus areas in the project.
