Multi-calibration system for microsensors for air quality monitoring
Challenge:
The market for small, cost-effective microsensors for air quality monitoring is growing – both for indoor and outdoor use. However, high-quality measurements require calibration of the sensors by the dealer and ongoing calibration by the user. Something you don’t necessarily have the resources for. At the same time, it can be more expensive to have your sensors calibrated than to have them manufactured.
At this time, there was no calibration system on the market for micro sensors that could measure multiple sensors simultaneously and process the data automatically.
Solution:
Through this knowledge bridge project, the partners researched, designed, and tested a sensor chamber prototype that could be calibrated close to the sensor in a system that was generic and flexible enough to be used for different kinds of microsensors.
