P.R.E.S.I. 2.0
P.R.E.S.I. 2.0 – Pathways to Resource Efficiency in Santa Cruz Industries is a continuation of the successful collaboration that started with the P.R.E.S.I. project in 2024. The project is an international collaboration between Danish stakeholders specializing in industrial symbiosis and Brazilian counterparts in Rio de Janeiro.
Purpose
Based on the knowledge created in the P.R.E.S.I. project, the aim is to conduct further technical screenings in the AEDIN industrial cluster in Brazil. This will enable an even deeper understanding of the potential to establish more resource-efficient industries and thus reduce the environmental footprint – with the aim of creating concrete opportunities for further project development and investment in more sustainable industry and production. The screening is planned for May 2025. Furthermore, it is also an ambition to identify which Danish solutions and competencies can eventually be included in the physical implementation. The focus on Brazil is also in line with the country’s hosting of COP30, where the project will also participate to illustrate a successful Danish-Brazilian collaboration and show the rest of the world the potential of Industrial Symbiosis as a climate solution
