Seven Danish companies receive funding for international activities

Through Clean, seven Danish water and environmental technology companies have received DKK 50,000 each to explore and develop international activities and partnerships.

Clean is working hard in 2024 to promote Danish water and environmental solutions. Therefore, the Danish Business Promotion Board and the European Union have created an international funding opportunity that allows Danish SMEs to test and implement their innovative solutions abroad.

Companies that have received funding

Seven innovative companies have received funding through Clean to take their solutions abroad. The companies and their solution they want to bring to the world include:

Grounded – They have developed a coffee cup made from coffee grounds that can significantly minimize resource consumption when producing disposable cups. They will use the funding to work with the German Food and more Company to reduce consumption in Germany.

Klarifi – They will use the funding to present their digital solution to wastewater companies in the US so they can better enter the American market. Their solution consists of a platform where restrictions and permits at different levels are gathered to provide a better overview.

WaterZerv – With the partnership and funding, WaterZerv will visit the US as part of a delegation trip to meet potential customers. Their solution is called “InflowGo, ” an AI-accelerated storm surge model for climate adaptation planning.

TEMcompany – They have created a solution to scan and map the subsurface to minimize drilling errors when finding water. They will use the funding to work more closely with Indian partners to bring their solution to India.

FaunaPhotonics – They have created a solution where insects can be counted and monitored via a camera instead of having biologists out in the field. With the funding, they will be part of a Spanish project on green roofs and their impact on biodiversity in Spain. At the same time, they will try to enter the Spanish market.

DRYP – Groundwater management in West Bengal presents major challenges. DRYP, together with two Indian partners, will use DRYP’s IoT solution to try to solve these.

InfoTiles – They have created a water meter that integrates seamlessly with existing meters to optimize water consumption. Through a partnership and with the funding, they will contact the Dutch company Dunea and see if they can collaborate more.

Funding boosts the companies and is, for some, the start of an exciting development that can strengthen Danish water and environmental technology internationally in the near future.

Are you ready for the international market?

Because of the high feedback and interest in international partnerships, Clean has opened the second round of the funding program “International Financing for SMEs,” with a deadline of 8 May 2024.
