Annual report for global cleantech collaboration

A very old banyan tree with its beautiful spreading roots,

As a global hub for cleantech ecosystems, the International Cleantech Network (ICN) connects more than 4,500 SMEs, 250 universities, and 45 cities across four continents. Clean is proud to be one of ICN’s 22 leading clusters and to contribute to the network’s efforts in advancing sustainable solutions through international collaboration.

Each year, ICN plays a pivotal role in strengthening the global cleantech landscape by fostering partnerships, supporting innovation, and providing a platform for knowledge exchange. The 2024 Annual Booklet highlights the progress made throughout the year, demonstrating the value of international cooperation in accelerating the green transition.

The world needs collaboration that can unlock value, build trust, build communities, and build solutions to address climate change. The ICN is demonstrating that these unusual collaborations can, and do, work!

Global Expansion and Innovation

ICN welcomed two new members to the network Kuopio Water Cluster (Finland) and Klaipeda Science and Technology Park (Lithuania). Their inclusion further strengthens the network’s expertise and increases opportunities for cross-border collaboration within cleantech.

Throughout the year, Clean and other ICN members participated in several major international events, including G20 Social in Brazil, the IWA Congress in Toronto, and Shanghai Climate Week in China. These events provided valuable opportunities to engage with key stakeholders, form new partnerships, and discuss global sustainability challenges.

ICN has been instrumental in helping us connect with the right partners and showcase how our solutions can bring value to the water sector, outside of our existing
networks.

Jonathan Macron – Chief Executive Officer, Redberry

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we move into 2025, Clean remains committed to strengthening international partnerships, driving cleantech innovation, and supporting sustainable economic growth. Our continued collaboration with ICN will allow us to expand our impact, connect with new partners, and contribute to the development of groundbreaking solutions for a greener future.
