600+ Startups Later – 5 Years of Beyond Beta and 3 with Clean

Deltagere til Beyond Beta Summit i 2025

Launched in 2020, Beyond Beta is now Denmark’s largest accelerator program for startups. The program is a collaboration between Accelerace, the Danish Business Hubs, TechBBQ, and several national clusters – including Clean, which has been a partner since 2022 with a particular focus on green and cleantech-oriented companies.

Since its inception, the program has supported over 600 startups, which have seen an average growth of 28% in full-time equivalents and raised an average of DKK 3.3 million before and during their participation.

Startups across sectors

Beyond Beta brings together startups across a wide range of sectors – from water and environmental technology, energy technology, and robotics to lifestyle products, digital technologies, food, and industrial automation.

The participating startups vary in terms of industry, geography, solution, and maturity. Beyond Beta shows patience with those who need it but also knows when to step on the accelerator. It’s not about acceleration at any cost – but acceleration when timing and market are right.

Clean is proud to be part of the program, as it enables us to offer our members and other water and environmental tech startups and scaleups targeted support from experienced acceleration experts – and, most importantly, connect them to our industry ecosystem. This strengthens the chances of long-term success.

Clean member wins pitching

3DCP wins Best Pitch and DKK 50,000 at Beyond Beta Summit 2025.

In May 2025, Clean participated in the Beyond Beta Summit, where three of our members – RobSub (developing underwater robots for pipe inspection and maintenance), Sensemakers (using autonomous sensor boats to monitor aquatic environments), and 3DCP (3D-printing climate-friendly buildings) – were among the five finalists.

3DCP took home the award for Best Pitch and a prize of DKK 50,000. It was a proud day for Clean, represented by our Head of Development, Michael Johansen, and Startup Navigator, Henrik Nørgaard.

It makes me hopeful for the future to see these bold and brilliant startup founders lead the way for how Denmark can create future growth, jobs, and exports with green technology.”

Michael Johansen, Head of Development, Clean

Is your startup ready to level up?

Beyond Beta accepts new startups on a rolling basis. If your startup has a green profile, a Danish CVR number less than 7 years old, and a scalable business model, this is a unique opportunity to gain access to knowledge, networks, and investors through an intensive and agile accelerator journey.
