Roskilde Festival invites entrepreneurs and startups to participate in The Circular Lab – a unique initiative where the festival serves as a testing ground for sustainable solutions. What does The Circular Lab offer?
Testing environment
The opportunity to test your green idea directly with festival-goers, either independently or in collaboration with the festival and its suppliers.
Knowledge and network
Access to guidance and support to ensure your test achieves the best possible results.
Financial support and funding
The option to apply for financial compensation to cover expenses related to your test.
Exposure
Visibility to relevant target audiences and promotion through the festival’s platforms and networks to highlight your idea and its potential.
Work facilities
Free access to flexible workspaces and guidance at the KU Lighthouse innovation hub in Copenhagen.
Ongoing development and knowledge sharing
Invitations to events and workshops before, during, and after the festival, plus access to unique testing opportunities and knowledge sharing among partners.
Innovation and sustainability
Support to implement your test in the most relevant areas of the festival and work with an innovative approach to circular economy and sustainability.
Who can apply?
The initiative primarily targets young entrepreneurs under 30 with ideas that contribute to a greener and more sustainable future. However, a percentage of participants from other age groups are also welcomed. Your idea can range from circular solutions to innovative business models in the fields of environment and climate.
STRIVE and The Circular Lab
As The Danish Water and Environmental Cluster, Clean works to promote sustainable solutions through innovation and collaboration. Roskilde Festival is also a key associate partner in the STRIVE project, which aims to transform festivals into drivers of sustainable tourism and innovation. Together with Clean and other partners, STRIVE explores how circular principles can be integrated into festivals and utilized as testing platforms for green solutions.
We aim to inspire more young entrepreneurs to contribute to the green transition – both in Denmark and internationally. This Open Call offers a unique opportunity to turn ideas into action on a platform where innovation and sustainability take center stage.
