Join the 2026 Nordic Workshop on AI for Climate, where researchers, companies, and stakeholders in the green transition come together to explore how artificial intelligence and machine learning can contribute to concrete climate and sustainability solutions.
The workshop has a special focus on creating direct links between research communities and companies facing current climate challenges. Through presentations, industry sessions, posters, and matchmaking, participants will have the opportunity to meet potential partners, discuss concrete cases, and identify new avenues for joint projects.
A central part of the day is the companies’ presentation of specific cases and issues they are working on. These are presented, among other things, through posters, where researchers, startups, and companies can engage in dialogue about possible AI-based solutions, data sources, collaboration opportunities, and next steps.
Participants will gain insight into:
- How AI and machine learning can be applied to specific climate and sustainability challenges
- Current business cases, needs, and issues related to climate, biodiversity, and the green transition
- Opportunities for matchmaking between researchers, companies, startups, and other stakeholders
- How research-based AI can be translated into practical solutions and commercial or societal impact
- Nordic, European, and global perspectives on AI for climate
Speakers include Céline Heuzé from the University of Gothenburg, Joakim B. Haurum from the University of Southern Denmark, and Frida Berry Eklund from Klimatkollen.
The workshop is organized by Climate AI Nordics in collaboration with the Pioneer Centre for AI and CLIMES – The Swedish Centre for Impacts of Climate Extremes.
Participation is by invitation only.
