Test your watertech solution with Novafos and Metro Vancouver

Are you a SME offering innovative solutions in the water sectors? Want to work with the Danish water utility Novafos and Metro Vancouver? Submit your solution until June 30.

Challenge 1: Novafos

The pollution concentration in overflow water close to the Bellevue Beach, just north of Copenhagen, Denmark, should be decreased. Can your technology help to treat combined sewer overflows in order to comply with requirements in relation to bacteria and environmentally harmful substances taking into consideration? This is your chance to realize this project with Danish water utility Novafos.

Technology requirements criteria:

• Robust technology operable at high to no flow situation
• Low costs
• Low maintenance and operation
• Space optimized solution

Challenge 2: Metro Vancouver

Metro Vancouver is a federation of 23 municipalities that plans for and delivers regional utility services, including water, sewers and wastewater treatment, and solid waste management. They are seeking solutions for solving a wastewater problem (rising ammonia concentration) and generating green energy.

Technology requirements criteria:

• Physicochemical process to recover ammonia and convert it to hydrogen
• Scaleability from pilot to full-scale flow
• Ammonia removal efficiency
• Low operating costs
• Energy efficiency
• Minimal chemical inputs
• Minimal byproduct generation
