This is not an ordinary hackathon. BIC25 brings together the entire value chain – from regional and municipal authorities, utilities and consultants to researchers, manufacturers, students, and contractors – around real-life cases posed by industry challenge owners. The goal is to create solutions that can make a real difference and live on after the event.

Focus areas

Participants work in interdisciplinary teams on cases within:

  • Water management
  • Nature-based solutions
  • Resource efficiency

When registering, it is possible to submit your own case or indicate a preference for working on a specific case. Teams are formed to ensure maximum diversity and learning.

Who can participate?

You or your organization are invited because we need your knowledge and curiosity. As a participant, you are expected to:

  • Be open to input from all disciplines and levels
  • Actively contribute with your experience
  • Engage in collaboration where results are shared with everyone

All solutions are presented to a jury at the end, where students in particular will pitch their group’s ideas. The goal is to develop solutions that can create real and lasting value.
