This is not your average hackathon. BIC26 brings together the entire value chain – from regional and municipal authorities, utilities and consultants to researchers, manufacturers, students and implementing companies – to work on real-life challenges presented by challenge owners from the sector. The goal is to develop solutions that can make a real difference and continue beyond the event itself.
Focus areas
Participants work in interdisciplinary teams on challenges within:
- Water management
- Nature-based solutions
- Resource efficiency
When registering, participants may submit their own challenge or indicate a preference for working on a specific case. Teams are formed to ensure maximum diversity and learning.
Who can participate?
You or your organisation are invited because we need your knowledge and curiosity. As a participant, you are expected to:
- Be open to input from all disciplines and levels of expertise
- Actively contribute your experience and knowledge
- Engage in a collaborative process where results are shared with everyone
All solutions are presented to a jury at the end of the event, with students taking the lead in pitching their team’s ideas. The ambition is to develop solutions that create real and lasting value.
