About the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition
The IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition brings together the international water sector every two years. In 2026, the conference will be held in Glasgow from October 4–8 and is expected to attract around 10,000 participants from around the world.
The conference provides access to the latest knowledge, international collaboration opportunities, and a broad network of companies, utilities, investors, researchers, and government agencies.
Who is eligible to apply?
You can apply to participate if your company:
- Is a member of Clean
- Has a Danish CVR number
- Is a startup, scaleup, or SME
- Meets the Danish Business Authority’s definition of an SME
- Works with water and/or environmental technology
Water and Environmental Technology
We prioritize solutions in which environmental or climate impact is a central part of value creation.
These may include, for example, solutions in the following areas:
- Water and wastewater
- Climate adaptation
- Waste and the circular economy
- Air quality and emissions
- Nature and biodiversity
How applications are evaluated
In the selection process, Clean evaluates, among other things:
- The relevance of the technology or solution to the international market
- The company’s role in the development and delivery of the solution
- The level of innovation of the solution and its environmental or climate impact
Price and Support
The participation fee is 25,000 DKK.
Participating companies may apply for a grant of 35,000 DKK to cover employee time associated with their participation.
The grant is classified as de minimis aid with a value of 40,250 DKK.

*De Minimis Declaration: This activity is co-financed by the Danish Business Promotion Board, and its value is estimated at 40,250 DKK. A business in Denmark may receive state aid of up to 300,000 euros (approx. 2.2 million DKK) over three years. This amount will therefore be included in your state aid for 2026–2028. You will therefore be required to sign a De Minimis declaration if you are selected as one of the participating companies.
